Sainte Maxime

Initial characteristics of the beach :

La Garonnette beach was suffering from a decrease in beach width. The municipality of Ste Maxime was forced to re-nourish the beach every year. In 2004, the Ecoplage system was installed on 300m between the mouth of « La Garonnette » river on the East and a rocky area on the West.

 

The system consists of :

• 2 beams of drains, 300m total
• A collector well in the middle of the beach
• A pump station located inside the access ramp
• A discharge pipeline under the riprap
